Mr. Chheangly Yeng is from Kandal Province, Cambodia. He was raised in a farming family and, following the passing of his father in 2008, was brought up by his mother alongside four siblings. He is the only member of his family to pursue higher education, an experience that has informed his academic and literary trajectory.
He completed his secondary education in 2007 and obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Management from the University of Human Resources in Phnom Penh. He has supplemented his academic background with extensive literary training through workshops and programs organized by the Rural Poet Association, Khmer Writers' Association, Nou Hach Literary Association, and PEN Cambodia. He has also participated in regional and international literary forums across Southeast Asia and Europe.
In 2016, he co-edited the bilingual poetry collection In the Shadow. His literary works have been published in several national and international anthologies, including "Study... eyes at the neck" in a collection of short fiction entitle Vitheavy 2016 (Kampu Mera). series of his poems include " Strobe Lgiht and Recycle bottle collector" were publish in a collection of Modern Literature of Cambodia (edited by Teri Shaffer Yamada, PhD), fiction base on true fact "What is it for?" and a poem of Strobe light publish is a collection of Perjuangan Bangsa Dalam Puisi Dan Syair Asean (Institut Terjemahan & Buku Malaysia, ITBM), and 10 of his poems were combine and published in the collection of the Biennale of Asian Poetry (Raza Foundation, India). His short story To Somony, My Dear was published in Money’s Slave (Mengly J. Quach University Press).
Since 2018, he has been employed at Mengly J. Quach University Press, where he has progressed from writer to editor. His responsibilities include content development, editorial work, and book compilation.
He is currently a graduate candidate pursuing a Master’s degree in Khmer Literature at Preah Sihanouk Raja Buddhist University.
